The interactive session started with a brief intro of Dr Edie followed by discussion about the Mental health statistics Globally and US. as raised by Host Anup Singh. Dr Edie, responded by quoting that over 1 billion people globally are suffering from Mental Illness that is a serious issue. 20% of these (1 in every file) are children in adolescence, globally. As per US, 25% of the adults are facing issues with mental illness. While amount the young adults ranging from 18 to 25 yrs. the Mental disorder are around 33%, in US. With time, these numbers are constantly rising in US and Globally and a serious concern. Talking about India, as per various research papers 33% Indian population is also struck with mental health disorders. The top three mental disorder as per her study is the first two are Depression, Anxiety this is globally. While the third various country to country in India it is Intellectual disability as mental disorder at number 3. She further went on to say that the Intellectual disability in India, main cause being Nutrient deficiency. She talked about a wrong diet plan in India that leads to various other metabolic disorders like over 200 million People in India are insulin resistance adding toMental Disorder Metabolic disorder. various metabolic disorder was discussed through-out the online session with both the host raising queries, preview the video for detail discussion on various metabolic disorder relates and talks on Nutrition.
