She stated that she continues to practice as a traditional psychiatrist with also considering the to connect Metabolic psychiatry with the national health therapy in UK.t times she does feels getting bootstrapped in various direction of medication based on the latest emerging medical trends and Metabolic therapies. But she concluded that the current approach is not adequate for treatments and lot of improvement are to be considered in the process of treatment among the patients. the sad side of the story is that when patients are prescribed with various medication treatment can also lead to various other metabolic disorders. About Dr Rachel Brown

Dr Rachel is a consultant psychiatrist is UK specializing in Metabolic Health graduated in medicine from the University of Edinburgh in 2003 and has been practicing psychiatry since 2004 as a metabolic psychiatrist, with specialist training in the use of various metabolic treatments for mental health. She is also a certified functional medical practitioner with passionate belief of body needs to be considered as a whole while dealing with any symptoms of medical illness. She is delighted to be able to practice a bespoke approach to psychiatry, aimed at addressing the underlying causes of symptoms and educating you on how to take charge of your own health. She beliefs that lifestyle has a major impact for an optimize health of an individual.

Dr Rachel is a member of the British Society for Ecological Medicine and the Institute of Functional Medicine as well as being a Nutrition Network Advisor. She trained in the use of Ketogenic diets with Dr Georgia Ede and Professor Tim Noakes' Nutrition Network. Dr Rachel is a published author in the field of metabolic psychiatry.

Additionally Dr Rachel has a keen interest in medical ethics and holds a master's degree qualification in medical laws and ethics from the University of Edinburgh. Her philosophy is that doctors should be educators and able to impart relevant information so that individuals can make the best-informed choices for their own health.
