When i was diagnosed July 2014 i was given two options by known Doc
1. to take insulin ? yes it was a shocked
2 Wait for 3 Months and keep HB1Ac down to 6.5
If i kept my High Carb Low Fat which i kept doing for a week that time i Remember Fasting was 150 PPBS was 220 the diet was 3 Roti in Afternoon (with Sabzi +Daal )Night i was on Rice Diet again same PPB 200 +
so i knew i will be on Meds i was destined for going for Medicines , it was like Deja Vu since i was Diagnosed with HBP same way and in no time i was stuck with Medicines in matter of few years until now so i knew i will be mixing more medicines to my Routine . i dunno what happened i was starting to look for Insulin reactions over the net Googling i stumble upon LCHF Diet things have changed drastically i was so worried about cholesterol and High Fat phobia which we all have and especially who have HBP but i desperately wanted to change this situation i know HBS has much more far reaching complications if left uncontrolled so i started lchf diet and kept doing it for 2 months now i am on Low Carb diet all the time ( some exceptions when i do cheats ) but mostly i kept my records of food and spikes in first month i seen a big difference in the readings my Fasting reached to 90-100 ppbs 130-140 range again some exceptions when i go lil easy on my restrictions but i keep that in mind that i make them as less as possible overall if i see then if i followed the conventional pattern of eating then i would have end up with Medicines for sure so i feel now more energetic more positive about life .its a must for all new diabetic who newly diagnosed or has a long history to change the Carbs intake to 100g Daily limit its a must and replace Fats for energy requirements in someway or other you will find a positive change in the Readings .
